InMode FaceTite, BodyTite, and AccuTite achieve significant non-surgical skin tightening and fat reduction
As we age and become keenly aware of the natural changes in our appearance, we begin to notice less definition in our jawline, slight “sagging” in our lower face skin, submental fat and volume under the chin and in the neck, and loose, crepey skin around the mouth, under the chin, in the neck, and in the jowl area. For dramatic improvements in skin tightening and fat reduction with less downtime than surgical cutting, board-certified dermatologist and skin tightening specialist Dr. Jason Emer utilizes a trio of cutting-edge, internal heating devices — InMode FaceTite, InMode BodyTite, and InMode AccuTite — which are specifically designed and targeted for those with small problem areas with minor skin laxity and excess fat.
While non-invasive, energy-based devices like Thermage and Ultherapy can prevent sagging and tighten the skin over time through a series of treatments, FaceTite, BodyTite, and AccuTite can provide immediate skin contraction and more significant, long-term improvements in tightening and contouring with only a weekend of downtime.
Similar to Renuvion (formerly J-Plasma) — a comparable device that uses helium plasma radiofrequency to obtain skin tightening — FaceTite, BodyTite, and AccuTite produce a “shrink wrap” effect in the treatment area, which is evidenced by an audible “sizzling” during the procedure. With multiple passes, Dr. Emer is able to tighten the skin and contour the treatment area.
How does it work?
InMode FaceTite, BodyTite, and AccuTite are safe, effective, minimally invasive devices powered by radiofrequency assisted lipolysis (RFAL) technology, which employs thermal energy beneath the skin to promote skin tightening and remove unwanted fat. Radiofrequency energy is directed through a cannula and distributed evenly to the sublayers of the skin; this energy gradually produces heat beneath the skin that liquefies the localized excess subcutaneous fat. The melted fat is suctioned away through sculpting and contouring liposuction, resulting in a smoother contour and skin texture without the lumps, bumps, and irregularities that are common following regular liposuction procedures.
The handpieces on the three devices have two distinct components: a subdermal probe that emits RF energy, and a surface probe that provides Dr. Emer with vital feedback in real time throughout the procedure. Both probes measure and monitor the amount of heat delivered to the tissue to reduce the risk of scarring, indentations, discoloration, or irregularities. The device “beeps” repeatedly throughout the treatment to alert Dr. Emer to the amount of heat building up in the tissue.
Due to the intense heat generated, it is essential that this procedure is performed by a board-certified dermatologist and specialist in internal RF heating to ensure a safe procedure with minimal risks, as scarring and pigmentation changes can occur if not done properly.
How long do improvements last?
While fat reduction results are permanent, skin tightening improvements must be maintained with monthly Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra, and InMode Forma / Contoura treatments, which aid in tightening and stimulate collagen production.
How does Dr. Emer do it differently?
While FaceTite, BodyTite, and AccuTite have proven to be highly effective, state-of-the-art devices, Dr. Jason Emer never relies on a single filler, freezer, laser, treatment, procedure, or device to obtain long-term improvements for his patients. In his vast experience, Dr. Emer has found that patient-tailored combination procedures that employ a range of methodologies, technologies, and devices are the best means (or perhaps the only means) of achieving optimal improvement without surgical intervention.
Dr. Emer frequently combines internal RF devices with external microneedling RF (such as InMode Fractora, InMode Morpheus8, or EndyMed Intensif) and Sculptra injections for long-term collagen production. For patients with significant skin laxity in the neck who aren’t open to a surgical neck lift, Dr. Emer proposes a midline neck lift or a submental lift / platysmaplasty. For those seeking more lower face contouring without a surgical facelift, FaceTite can be paired with a Buccal Fat Pad Reduction, which removes the excess fat pads from the lower face and cheek, transforming the face from a “chubby” appearance to one that is slimmer and more chiseled.
Face + Neck Tightening with FaceTite + Lipocontouring
No matter how much we exercise or diet, genetics can leave us with stubborn pockets of fat in areas like the lower face and neck, giving us a less defined, tight and contoured look. To deliver substantial improvements, Dr. Emer first uses InMode FaceTite or AccuTite to internally heat and contract the skin in these areas; then, the neck is shaped through a Hi-Definition Liposuction (or Lipocontouring) procedure to remove stubborn fat and provide improved definition.
In one quick treatment, Dr. Emer is able to remove fat, tighten the skin, and contour the lower face, jawline, and jowls with far less downtime than one would experience with a surgical lifting procedure.
Jawline Contouring with FaceTite
Loose facial skin can be a significant obstacle in achieving definition and prominence in your facial features – and can also alter the symmetry and proportions of your face. For patients with lack of jawline definition and loose submental skin (under the chin), a minimally invasive InMode FaceTite / AccuTite procedure is an excellent alternative. In the hands of a highly skilled and experienced dermatologist like Dr. Emer, FaceTite can create skin contraction in the lower face, and AccuTite can tighten the jawline and skin around the mouth. Together, the two complementary devices can help achieve a sharper, contoured, and defined jawline.
For improved jawline contouring and definition, Dr. Emer typically combines FaceTite with dermal fillers in the jawline, chin, and midface/cheeks as well as Sculptra, an injectable collagen stimulator.
BodyTite for Non-Surgical Breast Lift or Chest Skin Tightening
Whether through surgery or minimally invasive treatments, the goal of any Breast Lift procedure is to restore youthful shape to the breasts and simultaneously tighten the surrounding tissue. For patients seeking minor lifting who wish to avoid surgery and major downtime, Dr. Emer performs a non-surgical Breast Lift treatment using InMode BodyTite in combination with external microneedling RF (Morpheus8) to lift and tighten crepey skin.
After the surgical treatment, various RF devices (such as Exilis Ultra, Venus Legacy, InMode Forma/Contoura, and Thermage) and ultrasound energy devices (Ultherapy) are used to maintain the surgical results and further tighten the desired area, stimulate collagen production, and produce a long-term lift. Additionally, Dr. Emer uses Sculptra for further collagen production and to boost the results of the RF and ultrasound devices.
If more significant improvement is desired — or for those who have severe sagging, laxity, hanging, and stretching of their breasts — a surgical Breast Lift (or Mastopexy) can be performed in conjunction with BodyTite and with the aid of Dr. Emer’s expert plastic surgeons.
BodyTite for Inner Thigh Skin Tightening
For loose skin in the inner thighs, Dr. Emer uses a combination of Hi-Definition Liposuction, Renuvion helium plasma RF energy, and InMode BodyTite internal RF skin tightening. After several pounds of fat are removed from the thighs via the liposuction procedure, Dr. Emer uses BodyTite to “shrink wrap” the skin through internal heating, contour the thighs, and melt any remaining, unwanted fat beneath the skin. BodyTite and Renuvion allow for precise tightening and lifting of the areas treated and help to fine-tune these difficult areas in combination with liposuction.
If there is significant skin laxity and crepiness in the thighs, these minimally invasive procedures can be followed by a surgical thigh lift (thighplasty or “spiral lift”) to obtain the most substantial improvement.
BodyTite for Buttock Roll Skin Tightening
A primary concern for many of Dr. Emer’s male and female patients is the buttock area. With age, the skin in this area begins to sag, and the buttock loses its volume. As part of a non-surgical Butt Lift procedure, Dr. Emer uses InMode BodyTite to tighten the lower buttock, buttock roll, and inner and outer thighs. This treatment is typically combined with Morpheus8, a deep microneedling RF device, for additional skin tightening; autologous fat grafting; and “BellaLift” injections (dermal filler Bellafill + collagen stimulator Sculptra) to the buttock. With this combination, Dr. Emer can achieve dramatic improvement in buttock shape and size, obtain long-term lifting and tightening of the buttock, and address any dimples, indentations, cellulite, crepey skin, and skin laxity.
Dr. Emer also incorporates Cellfina (the gold standard for cellulite improvement), external RF devices (Thermage, Vanquish, Venus Legacy, BTL Exilis Ultra, InMode Forma/Contoura, and InMode BodyFX), and vibration / shockwave therapy treatments (such as eVIVE, Cellutone, and Zwave) to smooth the surface of the skin and obtain long-term skin tightening.
Facial Skin Tightening with AccuTite (“Baby FaceTite”)
The smallest minimally invasive RF contraction device available on the market, AccuTite (or “Baby FaceTite”) provides the same internal heating, skin tightening, and fat reduction benefits as FaceTite; however, it is designed to tackle more delicate areas, such as the brow, periorbital area (around the eyes), eyelids, eyebrows, nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines (lines around the mouth), jawline, neck, hands, bra roll, and armpit fat / loose skin.
Dr. Jason Emer (the first dermatologist to offer AccuTite at his Los Angeles / West Hollywood / Beverly Hills practice) uses AccuTite to target smaller areas and deliver very precise skin tissue remodeling. For patients with minimal loose skin and no excess fat in the neck, AccuTite is a safe, 15-minute, skin tightening solution that demands only a weekend of downtime and does not involve the cost or complications of a surgical face lift, neck lift, or platysmaplasty procedure. AccuTite can be performed while patients are either asleep or awake.
Dr. Emer complements AccuTite with neuromodulator injections (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau), laser treatments, Silhouette InstaLift thread lifting, and microneedling RF (Morpheus8 or EndyMed Intensif) to tighten and contour areas such as the jawline, neck, and jowls.
Is it painful?
To minimize pain and discomfort, Dr. Emer administers a local anesthetic prior to the procedure to numb the treatment area. While some patients choose to be asleep for the duration of the procedure, general anesthesia is not necessary. While there is no pain during the procedure, local anesthetic can have a “burning” sensation while it takes effect, and there is minimal pain during the healing process.
What is the downtime?
Patients experience a weekend of downtime following the procedure. You can typically return to your everyday activities after 1 to 3 days. Over the course of several weeks, swelling in the treatment area subsides and final results take shape.
Dr. Emer recommends that his patients obtain laser skin resurfacing treatments (such as Fraxel) and/or microneedling RF treatments (such as InMode Fractora or Morpheus8) either simultaneously or in the weeks after their FaceTite, BodyTite, or AccuTite procedure to provide additional skin tightening and improve sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, and crepey skin.
Am I a good candidate?
The best candidates for FaceTite, BodyTite, and AccuTite procedures are those who have completed weight loss transformations and have mild skin laxity as a result (with or without excess skin removal surgery). FaceTite, BodyTite and AccuTite are ideal for patients who are not yet open to a surgical facelift or neck lift or who want to avoid surgical cutting procedures but want optimal outcomes in skin tightening. Areas such as the lower face, jawline, and neck can be treated with FaceTite; stomach, back flanks, arms, thighs (inner and outer), buttock and buttock roll, knees and chest/breasts can be treated with BodyTite; smaller areas such as the nasolabial folds (smile lines), periorbital (around eyes) area, marionette lines (mouth lines), jowls, bra roll, knees, and vagina can be treated with AccuTite.
Individuals with skin laxity (with or without underlying fat concerns) who are hoping to obtain quick, surgical-like results with minimal downtime should schedule a formal evaluation with board-certified dermatologist Dr. Jason Emer to determine if they are in fact a good candidate. Dr. Emer customizes each procedure to treat his patients’ unique needs and goals in order to get the best possible outcome with long-term results.
