The OGE curve: where most filler plans miss

The patient in this video wanted the heart shaped look she saw in photos: high lateral cheeks, lifted brows, and a defined jawline. That contour lives in what Dr. Emer calls the OGE curve, the connection of bone from the temple and orbit to the cheekbone.

Most providers treat the lateral cheek alone and stop. Dr. Emer treats the curve as one zone, blending the temple into the lateral cheek and lifting the brow at the same time. That is how the result reads as one shape instead of three separate injections.

Why Radiesse, and why now

Radiesse is a calcium based filler that lifts without holding water. It does not swell the way hyaluronic acid fillers can, and it stimulates collagen over the following weeks so the lift continues building after the session.

Dr. Emer has been using Radiesse for 20 years, long before it became a trend. He chose it for this patient because she is active, takes vitamins that make her bleed easily, and wanted strategic lift without the puffy look that comes from fillers that hold volume.

The session: lateral cheek, temple, brow and chin

Dr. Emer started at the lateral cheek and blended the filler up into the temple, creating the high angle she wanted. Then he lifted the lateral third of the brow by overfilling a small triangular area above it, pressing the material upward to elevate the brow without touching the center.

A small amount of filler went into the chin to correct the slight recession that develops with age, giving her the V shaped lower face that completes the heart shaped contour. The whole session was done with a blunt cannula, so there was almost no pain and minimal bruising.

The difference was visible side by side during the session, one side treated while the other waited, then both blended and symmetric.

Who this fits

This approach is for women who want strategic lift and contour without the swollen, overfilled look. It works best when the provider understands the rheology of filler: how thick it is, how much water it holds, and where it belongs on the face.

Candidacy comes down to your goals, your anatomy, and whether you want a result that builds over time or one that reverses easily. That is exactly what a consultation covers.
