Shape, Not Volume
Syringe counts scare people. Dr. Emer hears it constantly: patients assume more filler means a puffier face. His answer in this session is direct: "They think it's just volume, like making someone look puffy. We're not. We're actually using this to shape."

Training, stress, infrared sauna use, and demanding schedules all accelerate how fast filler is metabolized, so "you want it to last versus hyaluronic acid."

The Implant Math
To reset expectations about quantity, Dr. Emer compares filler to surgery. A chin implant runs roughly four and a half to six ccs. Two syringes of filler in the chin is about two ccs, and as he puts it, "that's not even near a chin implant."

The follow-up protocol is a check at two to three weeks, a touch-up if needed, and then roughly a year before the next visit. The session closes with what he calls the Emer reveal: the patient sees a squarer, more defined lower face, a tighter-looking neck, and, in his own words, a new man.
