Lateral cheek and temple lift CELESTA™

Radiesse placed along the lateral cheek and blended up into the temple, following the OGE curve (the connection of bone from the temple and orbit to the cheekbone). Blunt cannula technique, on bone, to lift without swelling.

“She's getting radius today for that sculpted look that she's going for, which is that blending of the lateral cheek into the temple.”

    Dr. Emer, in the film
  2. 02

    Lateral brow elevation CELESTA™

Triangular overfilling above the lateral third of the brow, tapering upward to lift the brow without touching the center. Radiesse placed on bone in the temple area.

  3. 03

    Chin projection CELESTA™

Small amount of filler in the center of the chin to correct the recession that develops with age, creating the V shaped lower face that completes the heart shaped contour.

  4. 04

    Neurotoxin for brow shaping CELESTA™

Botox planned to reduce movement in the glabella and lateral brow depressors, lifting the brow further and preventing the gull wing shape.

“The next step is toxin. That's going to make less movement here and less movement over here. So it'll lift it up even more.”

Why patients fly in

What Dr. Emer does differently.

The OGE curve: lateral cheek, temple and brow treated as one connected zone

Dr. Emer does not treat the lateral cheek in isolation. He follows the OGE curve, the connection of bone from the temple and orbit to the cheekbone, blending filler from the lateral cheek up into the temple and above the brow so the lift reads as one curve, not three separate zones.

Radiesse for lift without swelling

He chose Radiesse, a calcium based filler, because it lifts without holding water. The result visible during the session is the result the patient keeps, with no delayed swelling or puffiness.

“We're using rads that's calcium based. It allows her to lift without it giving her swelling, without her giving her that holding of water look.”

Rheology: filler choice matched to the zone and the goal

Dr. Emer selects filler based on rheology, the G prime and cohesivity that determine how a filler behaves in tissue. For strategic lift and contour, he uses a thicker filler that does not hold volume. For other zones, he uses different products. Most injectors do not offer this level of product selection.

“When we want to contour, we want to lift. When we want to lift, we need to strategically place. So we're using a thicker filler that's not going to hold a lot of volume, but it's going to strategically give her the little bit of sculpting that I know she really wants.”

Triangular brow lift without touching the center

He lifts the lateral brow by overfilling a small triangular area above it and tapering the filler upward, never touching the center brow in a woman unless she is older and needs it. This technique, which he has performed since 2010, avoids the gull wing shape and keeps the result natural.

Two decades of experience with permanent and long term fillers

Dr. Emer has injected Radiesse, Sculptra, collagen, silicone and fat for 20 years. He offers these products when they fit the patient's goals, and he has developed techniques to reduce or camouflage them if needed. Most injectors do not offer permanent or long term fillers because they lack the experience to place them correctly or correct them if needed.

Lateral cheek, temple and brow, lifted as one curve / Patient story

She wanted the heart shaped look. He gave her the curve.

The OGE curve: where most filler plans miss

The patient in this video wanted the heart shaped look she saw in photos: high lateral cheeks, lifted brows, and a defined jawline. That contour lives in what Dr. Emer calls the OGE curve, the connection of bone from the temple and orbit to the cheekbone.

Most providers treat the lateral cheek alone and stop. Dr. Emer treats the curve as one zone, blending the temple into the lateral cheek and lifting the brow at the same time. That is how the result reads as one shape instead of three separate injections.

Why Radiesse, and why now

Radiesse is a calcium based filler that lifts without holding water. It does not swell the way hyaluronic acid fillers can, and it stimulates collagen over the following weeks so the lift continues building after the session.

Dr. Emer has been using Radiesse for 20 years, long before it became a trend. He chose it for this patient because she is active, takes vitamins that make her bleed easily, and wanted strategic lift without the puffy look that comes from fillers that hold volume.

How a session is built

Four zones. One curve.

Planned around the OGE curve: the connection of bone from the temple and orbit to the cheekbone.

  1. 01

    Lateral cheek lift

Radiesse is placed along the lateral cheek to create the high angle and blend into the temple.

  2. 02

    Temple and brow elevation

Filler is blended up into the temple and a small triangular area above the lateral brow is overfilled to lift the brow without touching the center.

  3. 03

    Chin contour

A small amount of filler corrects the slight recession in the center of the chin, giving the V shaped lower face that completes the heart shaped look.

  4. 04

    Collagen building over time

Radiesse stimulates collagen over the following weeks, so the lift continues building after the session.

The treatment, explained

What is heart shaped face filler?

Also called lateral cheek lift, temple filler, brow lift with filler, Radiesse facial sculpting, CELESTA™ female facial sculpting, OGE curve filler, triangular brow lift, V shaped lower face, chin projection filler.

What it is
CELESTA™ facial sculpting for women is Dr. Emer's system of strategic filler placement to lift and contour the face. In this case, he used Radiesse, a calcium based filler, to create the heart shaped look: high lateral cheeks, lifted brows and a V shaped lower face. Radiesse is placed along the lateral cheek and blended up into the temple and above the brow, following the OGE curve (the connection of bone from the temple and orbit to the cheekbone). A small amount of filler is placed in the chin to correct the recession that develops with age. The treatment is performed with a blunt cannula, so there is minimal pain and bruising. The result is visible during the session and continues building as the calcium microspheres stimulate collagen over the following weeks.
How it works
Dr. Emer injects Radiesse with a blunt cannula, placing it on bone along the lateral cheek, temple and above the lateral third of the brow. He overfills a small triangular area above the brow to lift it without touching the center. The filler is massaged upward to blend the zones into one curve. A small amount of filler is placed in the center of the chin to create the V shaped lower face. Neurotoxin is injected after the filler session to reduce movement in the glabella and lateral brow depressors, lifting the brow further. Radiesse is a calcium based filler that does not hold water, so the result visible during the session is the result the patient keeps. The calcium microspheres stimulate collagen over the following weeks, so the lift continues building after the session.
Who it is for
CELESTA™ facial sculpting is for women who want strategic lift and contour without the overfilled look. Candidates include women who want the heart shaped contour (high lateral cheeks, lifted brows, V shaped lower face), athletes who want a natural result, and women who have been to other injectors and want a more precise outcome. Because Radiesse is not dissolvable, candidacy depends on whether you want a result that builds over time or one that reverses easily. Dr. Emer has developed techniques to reduce or camouflage Radiesse if needed, but the decision to use it is made during consultation based on your anatomy and goals.
Recovery
Most patients return to their routine the same day. There may be minimal bruising, especially if you take vitamins or supplements that increase bleeding. The result is visible during the session. Swelling is minimal because Radiesse does not hold water. The lift continues building as collagen forms over the following weeks. The plan for touch ups is set during consultation and depends on how your tissue responds to the filler.
When results show
The lift is visible during the session. The result continues building for weeks as the calcium microspheres stimulate collagen. Radiesse is a long term filler, and the lift can last years. The patient in this case had one session. Dr. Emer recommends touch ups when you start to notice the lift going down, so you need less filler than a full reset. The timing is individual and set during follow up.

EMER METHOD™×RECODEX™

No water retention

Radiesse does not swell the way hyaluronic acid fillers can, so the result you see during the session is the result you keep.

Collagen stimulation

The calcium microspheres stimulate your own collagen over the following weeks, so the lift continues building after the session.

Strategic placement

Dr. Emer uses Radiesse in zones where lift matters more than volume: the lateral cheek, temple, brow and chin.

Long term results

Radiesse is not dissolvable, so candidacy depends on your goals and whether you want a result that builds over time or one that reverses easily.

Asked plainly, answered plainly

What women ask before they book.

Is Radiesse reversible?+

No. Radiesse is a calcium based filler that is not dissolvable. Dr. Emer has developed techniques to reduce or camouflage it if needed, but candidacy depends on whether you want a result that builds over time or one that reverses easily. The decision is made during consultation based on your anatomy and goals.

How fast is the result?+

The lift is visible during the session. The result continues building for weeks as the calcium microspheres stimulate collagen. The patient in this video saw the difference side by side during the session, one side treated while the other waited, then both blended and symmetric.

What is the downtime?+

Most patients return to their routine the same day. There may be minimal bruising, especially if you take vitamins or supplements that increase bleeding. Swelling is minimal because Radiesse does not hold water.

Do I need more than one session?+

Many patients build in stages. The patient in this video had one session, and the result will continue building as collagen forms over the following weeks. Dr. Emer recommends touch ups when you start to notice the lift going down, so you need less filler than a full reset. The timing is individual and set during follow up.

Why Radiesse instead of hyaluronic acid filler?+

Radiesse is a calcium based filler that lifts without holding water. Hyaluronic acid fillers can swell over time, especially in zones like the temple and lateral cheek. Dr. Emer chooses Radiesse for women who want strategic lift and contour without the overfilled look. The choice is based on rheology, the way the filler behaves in tissue, and your goals.

What is the OGE curve?+

The OGE curve is the connection of bone from the temple and orbit to the cheekbone. Dr. Emer treats the lateral cheek, temple and brow as one connected zone, following this curve, so the lift reads as one smooth line instead of three separate zones. This is the key to the heart shaped look.

Can you lift the brow with filler?+

Yes. Dr. Emer lifts the lateral brow by overfilling a small triangular area above it and tapering the filler upward, never touching the center brow in a woman unless she is older and needs it. This technique, combined with neurotoxin to reduce movement in the brow depressors, lifts the brow without surgery and without the gull wing shape.

What if I have Radiesse from another injector and want it corrected?+

Dr. Emer has developed techniques to reduce or camouflage Radiesse placed incorrectly by another injector. The approach depends on where it was placed and how your tissue has responded. The plan is set during consultation.
