Next Level with Microneedling

Collagen induction therapy, commonly known as microneedling, is an innovative skin rejuvenation treatment that has roots in ancient times. Since the time of Cleopatra, it has been known that creating tiny channels in the superficial layers of skin has a restorative effect. In recent decades, microneedling has been gradually refined to allow for safe use among the general public. If you are dealing with signs of facial aging or sun damage, you owe it to yourself to learn more about this remarkable treatment.

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a skin treatment involving the use of a small device to deliver many micro-punctures in the surface of the skin. The treatment stimulates your body’s own natural production of collagen. Old, damaged skin tissue is removed by your body and replaced with new skin cells that display fewer imperfections. What Conditions Does Microneedling Treat?

The treatment helps to improve skin conditions like lines, wrinkles, scars, hyperpigmentation, and enlarged pores. The minimally-invasive nature of the procedure allows you to return to your daily life after your treatment. Since we are not damaging a huge area of skin, your healing time will be minimal, and no complications should be expected.

Would I Make a Good Candidate for the Treatment?

If your skin is in good overall health, you would likely make a suitable candidate for this treatment. Those who are dealing with certain skin infections will need to resolve the condition prior to undergoing a treatment.

How Soon Before I Notice Results?

Microneedling patients typically notice some initial results in the weeks and months after their treatment. However, since we are relying upon the natural healing abilities of your own body, patience is important. You may not notice ideal results and complete skin remodeling until multiple months after your treatment.

Can I Combine the Treatment with Another Procedure?

Many patients have seen dramatic results in the improvement of their skin by combining a microneedling treatment with topical skin care product application and/or PRP. The upper layer of skin can act as a shield to prevent some products and topicals from penetrating very far beyond the surface. Microneedling creates microscopic channels that allow topicals to bypass this protective barrier, rendering them far more effective than they would be on their own.

Those who suffer from acne scars know just how detrimental these scars and indentations can be to their confidence. This patient came to my practice after noticing just how prominent her acne scars were after seeing herself in a video. For severe acne scars, I recommend Fractora. Fractora is a cutting-edge, non-invasive, 24-pinned microneedling device that utilizes radiofrequency energy to combat acne scarring and other skin irregularities. The device works by sending 24 pins into the skin upon contact and while inside, it sends radiofrequency energy deep into the subdermal layer of the skin resulting in the coagulation of subdermal tissue and stimulation of collagen production. As a result, my patient’s skin will tighten and her pore sizes will be reduced, along with softened scars and indentations. One of the most significant features of Fractora that makes it great for everyone are the various depths and pin density configurations that can be changed based on patient preference and the issues which we are targeting. Overall, the higher the intensity and pin depth, the greater the results. This patient has had Fractora before, so we used an uncoated tip with high intensity to go deep into the skin and achieve the greatest results possible. I tell all my patients that it usually takes more than one session to get the best results. This patient began to see results only after one week of her initial treatment. After the downtime, which varies depending on intensity and pin depth, the treatment left her skin glowing with major improvements to her acne scars. 💉 Treatment: Microneedling with #acell pigs bladder stem cells post-laser resurfacing⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Purpose: To help the skin heal by microneedling stem cell products and topically applied growth factors and nutrients into the skin after laser surfacing⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ How it works: Small channels of trauma are introduced into the skin to help create entry points for topical antioxidants, growth factors, vitamins and peptides to infuse into the skin and promote healing and decreased inflammation. This process helps accelerate skin healing and promotes collagen production. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Results: Improved outcomes with less downtime; significant reduction in redness and swelling⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Note: Individual results may vary⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 😴 Anesthesia: Topical numbing +/- oral medications, nerve blocks, nitrous gas (if needed)⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ⏰Time it takes: Depends on area and what treatments you combine with.
