RESTYLANE® EYELIGHT
Conveniently located to serve Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Los Angeles, NYC, and Miami.
WHAT IS RESTYLANE® EYELIGHT?
Restylane® Eyelight is an injectable dermal filler designed specifically for rejuvenating the under-eye area, or tear trough. The tear trough is the area directly between the bottom of the eye and the top of the cheekbone. It includes the lower eyelid and section of skin immediately below.
As we get older, the tear trough can start to lose definition due to age-related volume loss. Also, this skin often starts to droop as it loses its elasticity.
As a result, we notice “bags under the eyes,” “hollows” (empty areas under the eyes), and/or shadows. With Restylane® Eyelight, we can replace lost volume and create a smoother, firmer look in the under-eye area to create a brighter and more rejuvenated look.

IS RESTYLANE® EYELIGHT ONLY USED TO TREAT UNDER-EYE CONCERNS?
Restylane® Eyelight itself is uniquely designed to be injected in the tear trough area. However, Dr. Emer offers a full spectrum of dermal filler treatments to provide comprehensive facial rejuvenation. Depending on your concerns, he may recommend additional products from the Restylane® line of injectables, such as:
- Restylane® (original formula): A variety of facial applications, including smile lines, lips lines, and other wrinkles
- Restylane® Lyft: Midface (cheeks) and hands
- Restylane® Silk: Lip lines and lip volume
- Restylane® Kysse: Lip volume and upper perioral lines, also known as “smoker lines”
- Restylane® Refyne: Mild to moderate marionette and laugh lines
- Restylane® Defyne: Moderate to more severe marionette and laugh lines, as well as chin and jawline definition
In fact, your treatment plan could feature multiple types of Restylane® at the same time, if you wish to take care of more than one concern simultaneously. This would make for uniform, consistent results and fewer trips to the office. Restylane® fillers are often used in combination with other injectable therapies and even other types of treatments, such as lasers and chemical peels.
HOW DOES RESTYLANE® EYELIGHT WORK?
The primary ingredient in Restylane® Eyelight is hyaluronic acid (HA), a water-attracting chemical already found naturally in the joints, eyes, and multiple other parts of the body. Injecting HA into the tear troughs concentrates nearby underlying water molecules, contributing to increased volume and skin flexibility.
The two other ingredients are BDDE and lidocaine. BDDE helps crosslink the chains of HA molecules, giving it a gel-like consistency. The lidocaine is for your comfort, reducing pain during treatment.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER RESTYLANE® EYELIGHT INJECTIONS
No downtime is necessary after Restylane® Eyelight; most patients return to work after their session is complete. Be sure not to touch the treatment area for at least six hours. You will also want to wait 24 hours before exercising.
You should notice the initial effects of Restylane® Eyelight within a few days. Final results can be expected in about 10-14 days.
You can expect to enjoy your enhanced look for a year or more. Dr. Emer will advise you of the optimal retreatment schedule for you for maintaining your more youthful look.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING A RESTYLANE® EYELIGHT TREATMENT
Your Restylane® Eyelight treatment will be performed in-office at Dr. Emer’s Beverly Hills practice. To begin, the tear troughs and surrounding areas are cleansed with an antiseptic solution. While the Eyelight formula does contain lidocaine, an additional topical numbing solution can be applied upon request.
Next, Dr. Emer will perform the necessary injections for your specific needs and aesthetic goals. Lastly, the treatment site may be lightly massaged to ensure the accurate distribution of the formula.
IS RESTYLANE® EYELIGHT THE BEST UNDER-EYE FILLER FOR ME?
Since every patient has unique needs and concerns, Restylane® Eyelight is not the only filler Dr. Emer uses to brighten and smooth the under-eye area. He considers many factors when selecting the ideal dermal filler for a patient, which is why every patient begins their treatment journey with an in-depth consultation.
In addition to Restylane® Eyelight, Dr. Emer often uses the following fillers to revitalize the tear trough area:
- Belotero® Balance
- Juvederm® Volbella
- RHA 2
- Revanesse® Versa
