HI-DEFINITION LIPOSUCTION FOR JAWLINE CONTOURING
To sharpen the jawline, eliminate a “double chin,” and slim the neckline, surgical fat removal, or liposuction, is often recommended. Dr. Jason Emer specializes in an advanced form of liposuction (for both men and women) called Hi-Definition (HD) liposuction. HD liposuction not only removes unwanted fat but also tightens the skin; creates shape, definition, and contouring; and meticulously sculpts the treatment area.
Utilizing various state-of-the-art devices, Dr. Emer masterfully removes unwanted fat, which is then purified to create fat injections that can sculpt and volumize targeted areas. For HD liposuction of the jawline and neck, Dr. Emer removes both bulk and superficial fat in the neck area to define the jawline.
For male patients seeking a more muscular, sculpted jawline, Dr. Emer can inject the patient’s extracted fat (which has been purified and enriched with platelet-rich plasma, natural growth factors, and stem cells such as A-Cell) at strategic points in the jawline to provide long-term definition and to enlarge the masseter muscle.

MASSETER REDUCTION SURGERY FOR JAWLINE CONTOURING
The most intensive approach to jawline slimming is jawline reduction surgery, or masseter reduction surgery, in which a portion of the jawbone and/or the masseter muscle are shaved down to create a slender, more feminine appearance. This procedure can be a good option for patients with prominent jawlines who are unable to achieve their desired results through non-surgical contouring methods.
This procedure involves an incision between the gum and cheek, so the plastic surgeon can access the treatment site. The plastic surgeon then uses a surgical drill and microsaw to carve out a slimmer jawline and create a well-balanced, contoured lower face. Jawline reduction surgery typically involves a full week of downtime and four to six weeks of recovery before results are visible.

BUCCAL FAT REDUCTION FOR JAWLINE CONTOURING
For patients with rounder faces seeking a slimmer, more defined look, Dr. Emer’s team uses a procedure called buccal fat reduction to remove the excess fat pads from the lower face and cheek. Through a small, unnoticeable incision on the inside of the mouth, these residual fat pads are removed from the lower face and middle third of the cheek, which transforms the face from a “chubby” appearance to one that is more aesthetically chiseled and angled.
This simple procedure takes about an hour to complete and can be performed with the patient under general or local anesthesia. Although this is a surgical procedure, buccal fat reduction is a far less aggressive approach than a surgical facelift or neck lift and therefore requires far less downtime. The result is a more slender and contoured lower face and a refined jawline.

CHIN IMPLANT
SurgeryUnderprojection of the chin can be resolved through chin implant surgery. To achieve maximum results with chin implant surgery, Dr. Emer and his team design custom silicone implants that suit each patient’s unique anatomy and aesthetic goals. Chin implant placement requires a discreet incision, so your plastic surgeon can insert and position your custom implant. If needed, Dr. Emer can complement your chin implant with dermal filler injections, such as Sculptra, Bellafill, Juvederm, Radiesse, Restylane, or Revanesse Versa to further sculpt the jawline.
One key advantage of BodyTite over surgical lifts is that it requires less downtime. Patients can resume normal activities and return to work more quickly than they could after a cosmetic surgery.
