Juvederm Voluma can be used for chin enhancement and to create more noticeable fullness in the lips. When using this filler for lip augmentation, Dr. Emer uses a conservative approach, starting with a small amount of Voluma and then recommends a touch-up after two to four weeks, as needed to achieve your desired look.
Juvederm Ultra is effective for reshaping the lips and increasing volume. Dr. Emer also uses this filler for treating fine lines and wrinkles in the mouth area.
With larger particles and a thicker consistency than Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus can be a good option for enhancing the mouth area by addressing deep nasolabial folds and marionette lines. When used to increase volume in the lips, Juvederm Ultra Plus can achieve more projection than Juvederm Ultra.

FACIAL FAT GRAFTING FOR LIP AUGMENTATION

As a complement or alternative to dermal fillers, fat from the patient’s own body can be injected into the lips and throughout the face to create natural, long-term improvement in volume.

An autologous fat grafting procedure involves harvesting excess fat from a pre-determined area of the patient’s body. Dr. Emer insists on the use of a water-assisted fat extraction method to obtain the most viable fat cells. Next, the fat undergoes a comprehensive purification process.

Dr. Emer’s fat transfer process includes a unique step to ensure that you enjoy long-lasting, aesthetic results.
