WHAT IS RENUVION?
Renuvion is an advanced energy-based skin rejuvenation treatment. Renuvion sends a combination of helium plasma and radiofrequency (RF) energy beneath the skin’s surface to tighten skin and stimulate collagen production for long-term improvements. Dr. Emer can use Renuvion to tighten and refresh skin on the face, abdomen, back, legs, breasts, and arms.
HOW DOES RENUVION WORK?
The Renuvion device tightens skin from the inside-out by directing Renuvion’s unique energy formula into subdermal tissue. The device is equipped with a long, thin tube called a cannula, which is positioned under the skin. RF heat energy and helium gas are then released and travel through the cannula to the targeted internal tissue.
The combination of helium gas and RF energy causes simultaneous heating and cooling of the affected tissues. In response, the tissues contract, providing a skin tightening effect.

Renuvion is performed in an operating room. Local or general anesthesia will be administered at the start of the procedure to ensure your comfort during the treatment.
Once the anesthesia has taken effect, Dr. Emer makes tiny, discreet incisions in the treatment area. These entry points allow him to insert the cannula under the surface of the skin. Once the cannula is under the skin, Dr. Emer sends a controlled stream of energy directly into the subdermal tissue.

Your recovery time after Renuvion will depend on the treatment area and whether the procedure was performed alone or in combination with complementary treatments. Dr. Emer will provide detailed and personalized aftercare instructions for your unique needs.
In general, patients should plan for seven to ten days of downtime and restricted activities following a Renuvion procedure. Mild bruising and swelling is common in the first week or two after treatment. Depending on your specific Renuvion procedure, a compression garment may be recommended to ease these symptoms, support healing, and ensure the most aesthetic results possible.
RENUVION RESULTS
Renuvion provides an immediate skin tightening effect. However, the full extent of your initial results will be most apparent after 30-60 days when the area has completely healed.
