Who is a Good Candidate for truSculpt FLEX?
truSculpt FLEX is designed to tone and strengthen muscles throughout the body, so it can be an ideal treatment for patients who are physically fit and want to enhance the definition of specific muscles. Although truSculpt FLEX can assist in fat reduction, it is not a weight loss procedure.
Pairing truSculpt FLEX with truSculpt iD will result in more significant fat loss, though patients with considerable excess weight and/or skin laxity may be better candidates for Hi-Definition Liposuction or a surgical body lift. To determine if you are a good candidate for truSculpt FLEX, please consult with a board-certified dermatologist and body sculpting expert like Dr. Emer.
How Does truSculpt FLEX Work?
truSculpt FLEX is the only device on the market that can treat up to eight separate areas simultaneously. Sixteen colored applicators are placed in a pre-planned distribution (in one problem area, in multiple areas, or in eight separate areas) based on your individual needs and goals. Unlike the Emsculpt device, with truSculpt FLEX, Dr. Emer is able to treat the front and back of the body simultaneously.
Once applied to the desired treatment areas, truSculpt FLEX delivers direct electrical muscle stimulation, causing the targeted muscles to contract. One hundred percent of the energy delivered is absorbed by the targeted muscles (compared to 30-40% with Emsculpt), ensuring the most significant outcomes.
Equipped with advanced Multi-Directional Stimulation technology, the truSculpt FLEX platform allows for three separate modes of treatment:
What to Expect After truSculpt FLEX
There is no downtime after a truSculpt FLEX session. Although you may be hungry or tired following the session, you can return to your daily activities immediately. Occasionally, patients who are not accustomed to muscular workouts may be sore for several days after a truSculpt FLEX session due to lactic acid buildup. To promote optimal recovery and results, Dr. Emer and his expert aestheticians recommend:
Dermavance Arnika Forte, an anti-bruising and anti-swelling agent that accelerates your healing time up to 50%.
LightStim for Pain, a twice daily treatment that increases circulation, accelerates healing, diminishes bruising, and temporarily relieves muscle and joint pain.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), which promotes oxygen flow in the body, improves oxygenation of blood cells, prevents necrosis (skin damage), decreases the risk of nerve injury, and rapidly reduces bruising and swelling.
IV Therapy treatments, including the “Classic IV,” which helps to achieve overall balance and wellness by restoring hydration, replenishing essential vitamins and minerals, and ensuring that your body can function at its best
truSculpt FLEX or HD Lipo:
Which is Right for Me?
Both truSculpt FLEX and HD lipo help patients improve muscle tone and definition beyond what is possible in the gym. Whereas truSculpt FLEX patients are predominantly concerned with muscle enhancement, HD liposculpture patients typically have several concerns. Male HD liposculpture patients are often seeking defined six-pack abs, an athletic chest, and volume, contour, and muscular definition in the abdominals, chest, arms and shoulders, legs, and calves. Most female liposculpture patients are looking for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), a defined S-Curve, a snatched waist, arm and thigh lifts, a breast lift and/or augmentation, and cellulite improvement.
truSculpt FLEX is an effective, no downtime method of carving out beautiful definition to help athletic patients achieve a more chiseled look. However, it has its limitations in terms of fat reduction and skin tightening, so patients seeking more extensive reshaping may be better candidates for HD liposculpture.
HD liposculpting can include a combination of Hi-Definition liposuction, fat grafting, skin tightening, athletic shaping, muscular defining, abdominal etching, cellulite improvement, skin removal, and surgical implants as needed. HD liposculpting is more invasive than truSculpt FLEX, and it can also deliver the most extraordinary transformations. With HD lipo, Dr. Emer can apply his unparalleled sculpting and etching techniques to comprehensively enhance and reshape your body contours.
