INNOVATOR + SCIENTIST + ARTIST
A renowned authority in the techniques and complex science of facial and body sculpting, board-certified dermatologist Dr. Jason Emer utilizes Sculptra as a foundation for many contouring procedures. Dr. Emer has offered Sculptra in Beverly Hills for over a decade and has a refined ability to pair this collagen-stimulating filler with other cosmetic treatments to achieve remarkable enhancements for his patients.
Dr. Emer will first cleanse the treatment area and apply a topical anesthetic. In addition to topical numbing cream, Dr. Emer incorporates lidocaine into the diluted Sculptra solution, so there is typically very little discomfort during the procedure.
Next, Dr. Emer will inject small aliquots of Sculptra in a thread-like pattern, “seeding” the area to create a framework beneath the skin. He then lightly massages the area to ensure aesthetic results.
Depending on your treatment plan, he may follow the Sculptra injections with laser treatments, microneedling, and/or microneedling radiofrequency (RF) devices to help “activate” the Sculptra and kickstart collagen production.
What to Expect
Since Sculptra is a minimally invasive procedure, patients can return to work and normal activities the same day as the treatment. Tenderness, redness, or bruising can occur in the treated area but will diminish within a week or two. Dr. Emer will provide personalized aftercare instructions based on your specific treatment or combination of treatments.
Sculptra functions to stimulate your body’s natural collagen production, so results appear gradually over several months. You can expect to enjoy your Sculptra enhancements for up to two years.
How Much Does Sculptra Cost?
The price of Sculptra for facial or body contouring depends on the number of injections needed and whether it is paired with another procedure. Dr. Emer will explain all costs associated with your treatment plan prior to scheduling any procedures.
