What is the Vampire Facial?

The next generation of our popular microneedling treatment, the Vampire Facial incorporates platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cells (ACell) to produce enhanced cosmetic results and to further improve complexion, texture, and fine lines and wrinkles. Dr. Jason Emer and our highly experienced Beverly Hills staff often combine microneedling with PRP or the Vampire Facial with lasers and radiofrequency treatments to address scars, pores, and pigmentation and to stimulate collagen production.

What is PRP?

The PRP used in our treatments is a high concentrate of protein derived from the blood; blood is drawn from the patient and placed in a tube that, once spun in a centrifuge, separates natural growth factors and stem cells from red blood cells.

In addition to helping our patients maintain a fresh, youthful appearance, PRP and stem cells can also be injected into the hair to promote stronger, thicker hair and hair regeneration; into the penis for improved erections and orgasms; and into the vagina for heightened stimulation and rejuvenation. This “Liquid Gold” solution has countless benefits, including addressing localized conditions such as acne, wrinkles, cellulite, and sun damage.

Jason Emer MD

Am I a good candidate for the West Hollywood Vampire Facial?

If you struggle with acne scarring; wrinkles, fine lines and other signs of aging; hyperpigmentation; or uneven skin tone, a Vampire Facial may be able to correct these flaws, giving you back the unblemished, radiant skin of youth. The Vampire Facial is a very low-risk procedure, because the only thing being used is the patient’s own blood, so allergic reaction is virtually non-existent. The treatment is an excellent option for those who are not ready for an invasive surgery but still want to improve their skin and look as youthful as possible. Dr. Emer simply asks that you be in good physical and emotional health with realistic expectations for your results. Cosmetic procedures can help enhance your natural beauty, but they cannot make you look like a completely different person.

What can I expect from recovery?

Clients can expect the face to appear red and dry for several days after the Vampire Facial. The skin will slowly heal, revealing a beautiful new complexion and thus improving self-confidence. For about the first 3 days, avoid vigorous exercise, as well as steam rooms, saunas and spas, as excessive sweating may irritate the skin.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

As Emerage Medical reopens to the public, we’re implementing extensive protocols to keep our practice virus-free, and our staff and patients safe. Our approach closely follows public health directives and the latest recommendations from medical journals and academies.

Fewer People, Less Risk
The most visible change is reduced in-office staff. Fewer people means less person-to-person contact. We are only seeing about 25% of our normal patient volume and will only increase this by expanding our operating schedule – not by reducing time between patients.

Here’s How Patients Can Help
1. Please do not bring guests unless absolutely necessary, as they will not be permitted in the waiting room.
2. Please continue to wear a mask or face covering until you enter the exam room.
3. We screen everyone who enters the office – staff and patients alike – about recent travel, flu-like symptoms, and any potential exposure to COVID-19. Please help us by being transparent in your answers.
4. Please allow our staff to take your temperature at check-in using a contactless thermometer.

What to Expect After Check-In
After the check-in screening, patients will be directly escorted to their exam room to complete any paperwork. This is to reduce potential contact with other patients. Clean pens and clipboards will be provided to everyone and resterilized between each use.

Even More Safety Measures
Everyone on our staff has been directed not to come in if they have any symptoms of COVID-19 or recently came in direct contact with anyone who’s tested positive. Here’s what else we’re doing to keep you safer:

  • Staff members will be wearing protective masks at all times.
  • All chairs, surfaces, and non-disposable equipment will be wiped down with antibacterial wipes between patients and at the top of every hour.
  • All in-person meetings with suppliers, vendors, or salespeople have been canceled to reduce unnecessary foot traffic.
  • Hand-sanitizing stations are available in nearly every area of the office.
  • The entire practice will be cleaned each night, including periodic deep cleanings to further sanitize the premises.
