For fat transfer or grafting, fat tissue is removed from stubborn areas or localized parts of your body with fat disproportion. The stomach, thighs, and arms are most common harvesting locations. Small liposuction can be performed at the same time to contour the area, or fat can just be removed in a small quantity without disrupting the natural body shape. The fat is then processed through micro-filtration into a more even liquid, enhanced with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cells and re-injected into areas that want volume, size, or definition. Common areas for injection include the buttock, breast, male chest, shoulders, calves and biceps.
